Megan Holmes and
Jamie Hoornaert each paced the St. Olaf women's track and field team in the Ole Qualifier with multiple top three finishes at Tostrud Center on Friday night.
Stets finished in the top three in all three of her events on the day, competing in the 60 (3rd - 8.14), 200 (3rd - 26.58) and the 400 (2nd- 59.56). Â Holmes and Hoornaert each captured individual titles on the night. Â Holmes cruised to a 3:01.33 in the 1000 to finish three seconds ahead of the next competitor. Â Hoornaert claimed victory in the mile run with a MIAC qualifying time of 5:16.88.
In the field events,
Dani Larson finished second in the 60m hurdles while running her fastest time of the year (9.47). Â
Masha Grizhebovskaya finished .1 seconds behind Larson to place third in the event.
Emma Fulton was strong for the Oles again in the pole vault, clearing a height of 3.01 meters to finish third. Â Fulton's best height this season (3.07) ranks sixth in the conference. Â
Michaela Bolden took fourth in the weight throw with a distance of 13.78 meters, a season best.
St. Olaf races next weekend at Concordia-Moorhead in the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
