Larson 7th at NCAA Championships

SALEM, NC. - Dani Larson was an all-american in the pentathlon as she finished seventh with 3400 points at the Division III National Championships on Friday.

Larson won the high jump section of the pentathlon with a jump of 1.64 meters.  In the 800, Larson was second, finishing in 2:20.92.  In the long jump, 60 meter hurdles and shot put, Larson placed 16th, 12th and 10th respectively.  Allie Boudreau from Illinois Wesleyan was the pentathlon champion with a total of 3631 points over the five events.

Larson also competed in the high jump on Saturday, topping her winning jump from the pentathlon by clearing a height of 1.65 meters.  This earned her an 11th place finish in the event.  The women's high jump champion was Gladys Njoku who jumped a height of 1.72 meters.

The outdoor season begins for the Oles on April 11th at Hamline University.
