MOORHEAD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team finished with 72.5 points to place fifth at the MIAC Indoor Championships on Saturday.
Dani Larson added another individual MIAC title in the high jump, by clearing 1.66 meters to win the event. She won the tiebreaker with Vanessa Johnson of Concordia Moorhead, who had misses on lower heights, giving Larson the victory.
The relay team of Abby Stets, Madison VanWylen, Lillie Meakim, and Larson finished first in the 4x200 meter relay with a time of 1:46.88 holding off runner up St. Thomas by .7 seconds.
Stets also placed fourth in the 200 meter dash with a time of 26.52. After being injured late in the soccer season, Stets regained form quickly, and completed a very successful indoor season in Concordia.
Megan Holmes gave the Oles four points in the 1000 meter run by placing fifth. Holmes held off Kayla Robberge of Augsberg, and finished with a time of 3:02.16.
The 4x400 relay team consisting of Jordan Lutz, VanWylen, Stets and Larson finished third in the last event of the day capping off an excellent weekend in Concordia for the Oles.
This marks the end of the indoor season for St. Olaf. The team will resume competition outdoors on April 11th at the Hamline Invite.
