Larson wins MIAC Pentathlon

MOORHEAD, Minn. - St. Olaf senior Dani Larson won three of five events to win the MIAC Pentathlon on Thursday night at Concordia-Moorhead as the Oles opened up the MIAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

Larson led wire-to-wire to capture her second career win in the event. She was first in the 60-meter hurdles (9.43 seconds) and the high jump (5-5.75) to get out to an early lead, then she was sixth in the shot put (29-8.75), second in the long jump (15-6.75) and she wrapped up the title with a first-place finish in the 800-meter run (2:23.93).

The MIAC Championships run through Saturday.
