Full ResultsSAINT PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track team opened it's outdoor track season today at the Hamline Invitational.
Dani Larson shone for the Oles, winning both the 400 meter hurdles (1:04.52) and the high jump (1.65 meters). Â Larson also competed in the 200 meter dash, finishing 23rd with a time of 27.57.
In the sprinting events, Abby Stets and
Madison VanWylen opened their season strong with fifth and seventh place finishes in the 100 and ninth and 12th in the 200 respectively. Â
Suzie Hoops led the Oles in the 400m dash, beating her seed time, and placing 11th after looping the track in 1 minute, 2.21 seconds. Â
Jordan Lutz and
Mercy Garriga also competed in the 400, finishing 16th and 22nd.
In the first event of the day, the Oles placed four runners in the top 14 of the 5000 meter run. Â
Morghen Philippi led the way for the Oles, cruising to a 18:02.01 and eighth place finish. Â A trio of Oles followed her with
Amy Waananen,
Michaela Banz and
Piper Bain finishing 12th through 14th.
St. Olaf resumes competition at their home Manitou Classic meet on Friday.
