Full ResultsNORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team hosted its annual Manitou Classic on Friday afternoon.
Piper Bain led off the day for the Oles with a victory in her 3000 steeplechase debut. Â Bain, who is a member of the St. Olaf nordic ski team, turned in a winning time of 11:26.58.
Continuing her streak of performances,
Dani Larson finished first in the 100 meter hurdles, running 15.32 seconds. Â
Masha Grizhebovskaya also competed in the event, qualifying for finals, and placing fifth. Â Larson also added a victory in the long jump, soaring 5.15 meters before hitting the sand.
Abby Stets achieved three first place finishes on the day for the Oles, Â winning the 400 individually, and helping the 4x100 (along with
Lillie Meakim,
Madison VanWylen, and Larson) and 4x400 (
Suzie Hoops, VanWylen, and Larson) relay teams finish first. Â
Competing at home in the discus throw,
Annika Johnson thew a distance of 36.04 meters to finish third in the event for the Oles.
The Oles compete next at the Hamline Twilight meet on Wednesday.
