Full ResultsST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's track team traveled to Macalester College to compete in the Bolstoroff Twilight meet on Thursday evening.
The Oles claimed four of the top nine places in a competitive 5000 field. Â
Jake Brown led the way for the Oles in third place, finishing in 14:36.34. Â
Joe Coffey, who last week ran under 3:53 in the 1500, was not phased by the increase in distance, and was the second finisher for the Oles with a time of 14:55.86. Â
Kyle Wagener followed close behind Coffey as the two finished sixth and seventh. Â Rounding out the top nine,
Keith Ketola ran a personal best by over 20 seconds by crossing the line in 15:02.10.
In the sprints,
Justin Elstad and Joey Pugh both made their outdoor debut in the 100 meter dash finishing 12th (11.61) and 15th (11.65) respectively. Pugh doubled back in the 200 to run 23.81.
Aaron Dunphy and
Tamas Peterson both competed in the 110 meter hurdles scoring 11 points for the Oles while finishing second and sixth.
The Oles compete next on Saturday at the Saint Mary's Open in Winona.
