NORTHFIELD, Minn. - St. Olaf senior Dani Larson finished second in the MIAC heptathlon held at Carleton College on Thursday and Friday.

Larson, who was the MIAC indoor heptathlon champion, gathered 4510 points over the seven events, finishing 460 points behind champion Amelia Campbell of Carleton.

Campbell was the Division III National Champion in the heptathlon last year with a score of 5,221.  Her score of 4970 today places her second in Division III competition this year.

Larson's score of 4510 puts her 11th in Division III this year.  The top twenty athletes from each event are invited to the NCAA National Championships held in Canton, N.Y. this year.

The rest of the 2015 MIAC Championships will take place at Macalester next weekend.
