ResultsPhotosNORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf Women's Cross Country team totaled a score of 104 points to finish third at the St. Olaf Invite this morning.
Morghen Philippi and
Piper Bain were the top finishers for St. Olaf, placing tenth and eleventh. Â
Jamie Hoornaert finished 16th in 23:12.3 as the Oles third runner. Â
Josefine Brekke and freshman
Rebecca Walton finished the scoring for the Oles with a 26th and 41st place finishes. Â
The individual champion was Carleton's Ruth Steinke, who rounded the six kilometer course in 22:03.8 to hold off runner-up Kimber Meyer of Macalester.
In the team competition, UMD took home the title with a low score of 50 points. Â Carleton finished in second with a team score of 72.
The Oles will compete next at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota campus next Saturday.
