NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf Women's Cross Country team totaled a score of 104 points to finish third at the St. Olaf Invite this morning.

Morghen Philippi and Piper Bain were the top finishers for St. Olaf, placing tenth and eleventh.  Jamie Hoornaert finished 16th in 23:12.3 as the Oles third runner.  Josefine Brekke and freshman Rebecca Walton finished the scoring for the Oles with a 26th and 41st place finishes.  

The individual champion was Carleton's Ruth Steinke, who rounded the six kilometer course in 22:03.8 to hold off runner-up Kimber Meyer of Macalester.

In the team competition, UMD took home the title with a low score of 50 points.  Carleton finished in second with a team score of 72.

The Oles will compete next at the Roy Griak Invitational at the University of Minnesota campus next Saturday.
