Full ResultsNORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's track team finished second at a triangular meet with Carleton and Hamline on Friday.
James McFarlin led the Oles in the 60 meter dash with a third place finish with a time of 7.21. Â
Logan Weiss and
Kevin Skrip finished seventh and eighth in the event. Â McFarlin came back in the 4x400 meter relay where he,
Justin Elstad,
Joey Pugh and Skrip coasted to a 3:26.9 and first place finish.
Elstad, Skrip and Weiss finished second through fourth respectively in the 200 meter dash, an event won by Carleton's Evan Howard (23.27).
Jacob Eggers returned from injury with a quick 1000 meter split. Â Eggers led from the gun, running a MIAC leading time of 2:32.09. Â
William Anderson finished second in the event with a time of 2:40.35.
Leading the Oles in the one mile run was first year
Justin Furcich, who ran a time of 4:44.19 to finish fifth in the event.
St. Olaf showcased a strong 3000 meter field with
Paul Escher taking the individual victory in a time of 8:21.96. Â Escher led the final 2000 meters of the race, pacing
Jake Campbell, who finished second, with a time of 8:25.5. Â Also competing in the 3000 for the Oles was
Joe Coffey (4th - 8:42.65) ,
Sean Bjork (5th - 8:51.57),
Paul Timm (6th - 8:59.42),
Adam Wood (10th - 9:16.33) and Thomas Lerdall (11th - 9:18.52).
The Oles will host another triangular meet against Gustavus and Bethel next Friday at Tostrud.
