COLFAX, Wis. - No. 18 St. Olaf had all five scorers in the top 25, led by
Mary Naas (11th) and
Jamie Hoornaert (15th), as the Ole women's cross country team was second in the UW-Eau Claire Blugold Invitational, finishing only behind Division I Minnesota.
Naas came in at 23:16.6 while Hoornaert was in at 23:23.2.
Jessica Bentley was 20th (23:42.2),
Lisa Fisher 22nd (23:46.0) and
Josefine Brekke 25th (23:49.6).Â
The Oles topped all five WIAC foes -- UW-Eau Claire, UW-La Crosse, UW-Stout, UW-River Falls and UW-Platteville -- and Bethel University, the only other MIAC school in the race.
St. Olaf will compete next in the AAE Invitational in Oshkosh, Wis., and or the Tori Neubauer Invitational in La Crosse, Wis. on October 15.
