ETTRICK, Wis. - After notching 117 team points, the St. Olaf men's cross country team finished third at the Jim Drews Invitational held on Saturday morning.
Joe Coffey was again the frontrunner for the Oles as he finished in 25:34 to finish seventh overall. Â Then, St. Olaf had a duo of sophomores in the second and third positions as
Thomas Lerdall and
Alexander Berhe finished 22nd (26:21) and 25th (26:29) respectively. Â Also in the top 30 was
Keith Ketola who finished 29th (26:37). Â The scoring was completed by
Jack Henschel who finished 34th in 26:53.
Eric Bakken and
William Anderson were sixth and seventh for St. Olaf, finishing in 27:03 and 27:07 respectively.
The meet was won by Iowa Central, who scored a low 23 points and the runners up were from UW-La Crosse with 57 points.
 The Oles topped multiple other MIAC teams in the top ten, including Gustavus (6th -186), Saint John's (8th - 229), and Hamline (10th - 330).  This sets the stage for the MIAC Championships to be contested on October 29th.
