NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Despite a late goal by
Megan Skelly at 19:41 in the third period, the St. Olaf women's hockey team fell to Hamline University 3-2 on Friday night at the Northfield Ice Arena.
Of the five goals scored by both teams, three were scored on power plays.
Jane Vezina scored at the beginning of the second period on a power play after the initial Hamline goal scored by Bre Simon. Two more goals would come from Hamline in the third period.Â
Xandi Swedberg and
Molly Andrews were credited with the assists.Â
Goalkeeper
Cassie Alexander had 22 saves in the loss.Â
The Oles will travel to Hamline tomorrow for a 2 p.m. rematch.Â
