ST. PAUL, Minn. - Five members of the St. Olaf men's track team competed on Friday evening at the University of Minnesota in the Snowshoe Open.

Jacob Eggers and Sean Bjork placed third and fourth in the one mile run with times of 4:15.31 and 4:16.70 respectively.

Sophomores Paul Timm and Tayler Aarness competed in the 3000, both running MIAC qualifying times.  Aarness finished in 8:45.88 and Timm was less than three seconds behind in 8:48.37.

In the shot put, Nick Woods threw all three throws over 14 meters, with a best of 14.97 meters.  Woods placed fifth in the open shot put division.

The Oles compete next tomorrow at the Tostrud Open in Northfield and the Big Dawgg Invitational in Stevens Point.
