ResultsMANKATO, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team raced at the Ted Nelsen Classic on Saturday afternoon.
Morghen Philippi and
Suzie Hoops were both top-ten finishers in the mile run with times of 5:20.88 and 5:22.62 respectively. Â The times also put the duo in the top eight MIAC performances of the 2016 season.
In the sprints,
Lillie Meakim and
Abby Stets switched off as the Oles top finisher in the 60 and 200 meter races. Â Stets finished 20th in the preliminary heat of the 60 (8.40) and Meakim followed in 22nd (8.44). Â
Masha Grizhebovskaya was 24th in the event with a sprint of 8.51. Â Meakim led the Oles in the 200 with a time of 27.73, with Stets finishing three places behind in 27.84. Â
Madison Van Wylen was the top Ole finisher in the 400 meter dash, placing 12th and running her new season best of 1:00.97.
Jena Moody was the top Ole and 17th overall finisher in the 800 (2:30.04) and Jerlie Jenson followed in 28th (2:43.02).
In the field events,
Hayli Marquette finished 11th in the long jump (4.82 meters) and
Hannah Nordby thew 7.90 meters in the shot put to finish 19th.
The Oles compete next at the Carleton Meet of Hearts on Saturday.
