NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's track and field team hosted MSU-Mankato, St. Catherine University, St. Thomas and Saint Benedict in the unscored Manitou Classic on Friday afternoon.
Abby Stets won the 400 with a time of 57.58, holding off Kimmy Wreh of MSU-Mankato.
Maddie Tait also competed in the 400, finishing in a time of 1:07.90.
Lillie Meakim qualified for the finals in the 100 meter dash, ultimately finishing eighth in 13.53.
In the distance events,
Morghen Philippi and
Stella Arndorfer finished the 25 lap 10K in 37:55.33 and 41:14.02 respectively. In the steelplechase,
Rebecca Walton and
Mary Eide crossed the finish line in second (12:15.14) and third (12:23.68). Then, in the 1500 meter race,
Abbey Schnaith and
Josefine Brekke went third and fourth both fininishing in under five minutes. Also in the top ten in the 1500 was
Briana Paulsen in ninth with a time of 5:05.93.
Clearing 1.53 meters in the high jump was
Meg Andersen, which put her in third.
Courtney Miller made it over 1.43 meters.
Michaela Bolden was the runner up in the hammer throw, setting a season best of 46.01.
Hannah Nordby was eighth in the event with a 36.59 meter throw.
The Oles compete at the Hamline Twilight meet next on Wednesday night in St. Paul.
