NORTHFIELD, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's cross country team finished third with 105 points at the Ole Invitational on Saturday morning.
The Oles were led by transfer
Mary Naas who finished in 11th with a 6K time of 23:24. Joining Naas in the top 20 were
Josefine Brekke and
Jamie Hoornaert who finished in 18th and 19th with times of 23:40 and 23:44 respectively. Â Frosh
Lisa Fisher was the fourth runner for the Oles in 25th (23:51), and frosh
Bryony Hawgood rounded out the scoring for St. Olaf, finishing in 24:07 and 33rd place.
Jordan Lutz returned to competiton for the Oles, and sailed to a sixth place finish on the St. Olaf squad, and 43rd overall (24:17). Â
Jessica Bentley closed out the top seven in 46th place (24:21).
The meet was won by Minnesota-Duluth with 28 points, but the runners-up from Carleton were only eight points ahead of St. Olaf with 97 team points.
St. Olaf will return to competition next weekend at the Roy Griac Invitational at the Les Bolstad Golf Course.
