ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf women's cross country team finished second at the Roy Griak Invitational on Saturday morning with a team score of 75.
Mary Naas was the top runner for the Oles, finishing seventh in 24:26.5. Â Joining Naas in the top twenty were
Jamie Hoornaert,
Lisa Fisher and
Bryony Hawgood who finished 11th (24:53.9), 17th (25:12.0), and 19th (25:17.9) respectively. Â
Josefine Brekke rounded out the scoring runners for the Oles in 21st place while running 25:22.4.
Jessica Bentley and
Meredith Moore were the sixth and seventh runners for St. Olaf, finishing 22nd and 24th respectively with times of 25:23.6 and 25:29.2. Â
The team from Wisconsin-Oshkosh won the meet with 69 points, six ahead of the Oles. Â St. Olaf finished five points ahead of MIAC rival St. Thomas with 80 points.
The Oles race again next Friday at the Blugold Invitational in Eau Claire, Wis.
