ELSAH, Ill. - A 21st place finish at the NCAA D3 Cross Country Championships capped off the season for the St. Olaf women's cross country team.
Bryony Hawgood led the way for the Oles with a 70th place finish, good for a score of 48 on the team card while running 22:00.3. Â
Jordan Lutz was close behind in 84th (55th team) with a time of 22:08.4.
Jena Moody was the third runner for the Oles with a 156th place finish (108th team) with a final time of 22:38.1. Â Rounding out the scoring for the Oles were
Lisa Fisher and
Mary Naas (190th and 212th overall, 136th and 157th team scorers) with times of 22:52.9 and 23:02.6 respectively.
Lauren Markowski ran 23:47.8 to finish 260th overall, and
Meredith Moore was 268th in 24:15.7 as the Oles sixth and seventh runners.
The individual champion was Khia Kurtenbach of U-Chicago who ran 20:39.2 over the six kilometer course. Â The team champions from John's Hopkins notched 96 points to claim another NCAA team title.
St. Olaf tallied 504 points overall to finish 21st place. Â This marks the final competition for the Oles until next season.
