ST. PAUL, Minn. - The St. Olaf men's track and field team competed at the St. Thomas Showcase on Friday night.
Joe Coffey captured an individual victory in the 1000 meter run with a time of 2:28.02, placing him second on the all-time St. Olaf performance list for the 1000. Â
Sean Bjork followed in fourth with a 2:29.86 and Bill Anderson was seventh in 2:39.57. Â
Nick Woods and
Nathan Kurtz-Enko finished in the top-10 in the shot, with Woods hitting 15.49m for fourth place and Kurtz-Enko throwing 14.64m for seventh. Â
Eli Knutson, putting together seeds for the heptathlon, threw 10.29 meters.
In the 5000,
Keith Ketola led the Oles with a finish time of 15:18.85. Â
Calvin Lehn smacked a 15th place finish in 15:19.36, and
Thomas Lerdall finished 16th place, albeit running from the slower section earlier in the meet.
The 4x400 meter relay team of
Joe Pugh,
Matthew Paal,
Sean Lonergan, and
Robbie Holmes finished second in the final event of the evening with a time of 3:32.33.
The Oles host a meet next Saturday at Tostrud Center for the final qualifying opportunity for the MIAC Championships on Feb. 25-26.
