NORTHFIELD, Minn. – Rising junior
Maddie Etienne of the St. Olaf College women's hockey team was named a Division II-III Krampade All-American Scholar by the American Hockey Coaches Association (AHCA) on Thursday.

Etienne was one of of 55 women's hockey student-athletes from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and 821 Division II-III student-athletes in total to receive the accolade. The 2017-18 season was the second year the AHCA recognized student-athletes as All-American Scholars.
In order to be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have attained a 3.6 GPA in each semester of the academic year and participated in at least 40 percent of their team's games during the season. Etienne played in 25 games last winter for the Oles, tallying two assists.
