Alvin Droen '32 earned four letters in track at St. Olaf and captained the team in 1931 and 1932. He was also the regular tailback on the Oles' first undefeated football team in 1930.
After graduating from St. Olaf in 1932, Droen taught and coached in North Dakota, Souta Dakota, and Minnesota and his Crookston trackmen won the Minnesota Class A title in 1974. He also served as the Chamber of Commerce president and church council member in Sisseton, S.D. and Crookston, Minn.
