Bernhard E. Cole '28 earned St. Olaf letters in football (3), baseball (4), gymnastics (2), and hockey (2) and was named Honor Athlete in 1928.
After graduation, he taught and coached in high schools from 1928-71 and once held the Minnesota record for consecutive high school football wins with five years without a loss at Marshall High School. Cole helped form the Minnesota High School Football Coaches Associate and coached the first grid team at Minnesota State Prison.
