A four-year letter winner and four-time Most Valuable in swimming, Bob Hauck was a 23-time All-American in 1984-87 and a seven-time national champion. He set national records in the 100-yard and 200-yard backstroke and another in the 400-yard individual medley, which is still standing. A co-coach of the St. Olaf men’s and women’s swim teams since 1988, he earned his master’s degree in physical education at Mankato State University in 1992. In addition to college coaching, he has organized and coached swim camps around the country, including the St. Olaf Swim Camp. An instructor in physical education at St. Olaf, Hauck lives with his wife in Northfield, Minn.
