Dennis Runck won nine letters with four each in football and basketball. He was voted “most valuable” in track in 1958 and 1959 and was squad captain as a senior. He held St. Olaf records in 220-yard dash and the high jump. He was also active in numerous civic, religious and political organizations. He served as president of Lutheran congregations in Inver Grove Heights and Mankato. He was a member of Omicron Kappa Upsilon, dental honorary society, and of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
