Eli Enger won four letters each in football and baseball… named All-State halfback in 1925. He was captain of the 1926 state champion baseball team and was an Honor Athlete in 1926. He played AAA professional baseball. He also taught and coached, and was principal of a grade school in Michigan. Enger was commander of the Lanesboro (Minn.) Veterans of Foreign Wars and service office of the American Legion. He also sang in the choir and was on the music council of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
