Frank I. Cleve earned St. Olaf letters in football, basketball and baseball. He was the athletic director and coach of basketball and football at Concordia College for ten years. His collegiate teams won four championships. Cleve returned to his hometown in 1936 where he coached Minneapolis South High School until 1942, when he moved to Patrick Henry and coached there until retirement in 1964. He was named coach for the first Minnesota All-Star prep football game. He died in 1970.
