George E. Thronson won eight varsity letters and three freshman awards. He was a three-year regular at both offensive and defensive tackle and won All-Midwest Conference recognition. He was a Midwest Conference wrestling champion at 190 pounds twice. Thronson is now the pastor of St. James Lutheran Church in Burnsville, Minn. He has served congregations in New Berlin, Superior, Appleton, and Milwaukee, Wis. He has written and taped a series of comprehensive marriage manuals which are used extensively in marriage enrichment seminars.
