Henry W. Nicklassen won letters in football, basketball and baseball. He was captain of baseball team. He was named Honor Athlete in 1936. Nicklassen taught school and coached in three Minnesota communities. He also coached American Legion baseball and managed a local baseball team. He was New Ulm (Minn.) country club golf champ at age 58. Nicklassen was bowling leader 11 of 18 years in All-Star league, rolling five 700 series. He is a charter member of Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in New Ulm, where he has been active as president, trustee and financial committee member. Nicklassen now owns a sporting goods company.
