Jacobi “Jake” M. Christiansen earned letters in football, basketball, baseball, track and tennis. He was also a ski jumper and a golfer. After graduating from St. Olaf in 1924, he went to North Dakota State University where he earned his master’s degree in counseling, after which he spent 12 years as athletic director and coach at Valparaiso University. In 1941, Christiansen began a 28-year careers as athletic director and coach at Concordia-Moorhead College. He served on the Moorhead Public School Board for 12 years and coached the Moorhead American Legion baseball team. Christensen passed away in 1992.
