Jim Geske was a three-sport athlete, lettering two years in football, two years in basketball and three years in baseball. He was a member of the 1949 MIAC baseball championship team. He pitched two years with the Eau Claire, Wis., professional baseball team and two years on a semi-professional team in Winona, Minn. Geske taught high school history for 36 years, coached baseball and basketball for 24 years, and for 10 years was the athletic director. He retired from education in 1986.
