St. Olaf College Athletics

John A. Gustafson earned 11 St. Olaf letters in football, basketball and baseball. He was co-captain and won All-Conference and Little All-American honors on the undefeated 1953 football team. Gustafson was a member of Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He also served on the church council in Alexandria, Minn., while serving as teacher-coach there. Gustafson is active in professional education groups and in youth sports leadership workshops.
