Lloyd Ellingson

Lloyd Ellingson won the Marshall Foch trophy, emblematic of U.S. collegiate ski jumping championship, in 1930. He was a member of the U.S. Olympic ski team in 1932 and participated in competition in Lake Placid, N.Y.  He was a three-year letter winner at guard on the Ole football team. Ellingson won All-MIAC recognition twice. He earned a law degree at the University of Wisconsin and practiced in Menomonie, Wis.  He was elected to three terms as Dunn Country attorney. Ellingson died in an airplane crash in 1946.
