Noel Olson earned eight St. Olaf letters, four in basketball and two each in football and tennis. He was an All-Conference basketball player in 1954, and at one time held the most St. Olaf scoring records. He was a student coach of tennis team in 1954. In his high school and college coaching career, he netted more than 300 wins. Olson is serving as commissioner of the North Central Conference (NCAA Division II). He was noted speaker for athletics and Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
