Pete Cathcart '06 was a standout member of the football and men's track and field teams, earning All-America honors in both sports. He was a four-time All-American and five-time national qualifier in the shot put, finishing as high as fifth in the country outdoors, and also was a five-time conference champion in the event. On the gridiron, Cathcart was a four-year starter along the offensive line, earning Don Hansen Gazette All-America honors and D3football.com First Team All-West Region honors as a senior in 2005. He was also a two-time All-MIAC selection in football, landing a spot on the second team in 2004 and the first team in 2005, and is one of two student-athletes in the history of the program to be named a College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) Academic All-District ® honoree, doing so in 2005.
