Stephen R. Ellerbusch was an All-Conference catcher in 1969, 1970 and 1971, during which time the baseball team was conference champions. He was named Most Valuable Player each year and was captain of the team during the 1970 and 1971 seasons. Ellerbusch, who received his master of divinity degree from Luther Seminary, has served as a pastor for 22 years, teaching, counseling, and leading congregations in Wisconsin and Iowa. He has organized and coached youth soccer, softball, baseball, basketball and volleyball. He lives with his family in Emmetsburg, Iowa, where he is serving Bethany Lutheran Church.
