St. Paul, Minn - Hamline University scored three times in the first half to defeat the St. Olaf women's soccer team 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon.
 
Aubrey Stenson opened the scoring for the Pipers in the seventh minute of play and Aileen Scheibner added a second to give Hamline University a 2-0 lead in the first 30 minutes of play.
 
For the Oles, Emily Helle scored her third goal of the season in the 28th minute to close the gap. But HU made it 3-1 with a goal in the 34th minute from
Nicole Verdoorn.
 
St. Olaf plays Wartburg College Sunday at 1 p.m.
