NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Madison Van Wylen scored in the seventh minute to give the St. Olaf women's soccer team a 1-0 victory over Wartburg College on Sunday afternoon.

Van Wylen's goal came in the seventh minute off an assist from Kajsa Brindley to give the Oles the early lead. The Oles forced Wartburg keeper Beth Crow into making five saves thoughout the 90 minutes.

For St. Olaf, goalkeeper Ruth Hesse made a single save to secure a clean sheet and victory.

St. Olaf plays Macalester College on Saturday in an away match.
