Oles drop home opener to Luther

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Luther College defeated the St. Olaf women's basketball team 74-40 in the Oles' home opener Tuesday night at Skoglund Center.

 

Luther was led by Kylie Romeo with 12 points followed by Anna Madrigal with 10. Luther forced 34 turnovers against St. Olaf in the victory.

 

Afton Wolter led St. Olaf in points with 15, including five 3-pointers. Betsey Daly had a double-double in loss with 11 points and 12 rebounds.

 

Luther went on a 18-0 run early in the first half leading St. Olaf 38-16 at the break. Luther held the momentum throughout the second half to beat St. Olaf on the road.

 

St. Olaf will host Martin Luther College on Thursday night at Skoglund Center.
