Oles play to tie with No. 14 Cobbers

NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Kajsa Brindley's left-footed strike early in the second half helped give St. Olaf a 1-1 women's soccer tie with 14th-ranked Concordia-Moorhead on Saturday at Rolf Mellby Field.

Brindley was led on a touch pass from Madison Van Wylen just over three minutes into the second half to tie the game at 1-1.

Concordia got its goal from Pagie McCullough in the 13th minute. The Cobbers held a slight edge in shots, 14-12, and corner kicks (5-4).

Ruth Hesse had seven saves for the Oles in net while Elizabeth Bitzen had the same for the Cobbers (7-1-1).

St. Olaf hits the road for a MIAC contest on Wednesday at Hamline Univesity at 4 p.m.
