Box Score EAU CLAIRE, Wis.- The St. Olaf women's hockey team conceded two goals in the third period to lose 3-1 against UW-Eau Claire on Saturday night.
Kiki Platek scored for St. Olaf and Claire Thomsen scored for Eau Claire to give the game a 1-1 score after the second period of play. Julia Osowski scored with four minutes left in the third period to put the Blugolds ahead, and Paige Dale added UWEC's third of the night in the 19th minute off an open goal.
The St. Olaf offense forced UWEC goalkeeper Kim Vanbrunt to make 38 saves throughout the 60 minutes of play, compared to UWEC who managed 25 shots through three periods of play.
St. Olaf play Hamline University in a home match next Friday, January 16th.
