ST. JOSEPH, Minn.- Two second half goals helped lift the St. Olaf women's soccer team over the College of Saint Benedict, 2-1, on Saturday afternoon in the Oles' season finale.
After a scoreless first 45 minutes, St. Olaf was the first to get on the board via a goal from
Abby Stets. CSB equalized just five minutes later in the 68th minute, but
Sarah Behr scored what would become the eventual game winner in the 70th, assisted by
Madison Van Wylen.
Ruth Hesse made an impressive 12 saves as St. Olaf was out-shot 19-8. The Oles managed to put six of their eight attempts on frame, while St. Ben's managed over twice as many shots on target with 13.
The St. Olaf women finish the season with a 3-7-1 MIAC record and 4-10-4 overall record.Â
