Ole women tie Hamline

ST. PAUL, MINN. - Hannah Forliti scored twice as the St. Olaf women's hockey team tied Hamline University 4-4 on Friday night in first MIAC matchup of the season for each team.

 

St. Olaf (0-3-1, 0-0-1 MIAC) capitalized on the powerplay, scoring on three out six chances. Forliti scored her two goals back to back in the third period coming at 3:51 and 5:06 respectively.

 

Jane Vezina led St. Olaf in shots with eight in the contest, while Megan Skelly led the team in points with three assists.

 

Hamline's (0-2-2, 0-0-1 MIAC) Brede Postier was the Pipers leading goal scorer, with two.  

 

St. Olaf seemed to have the victory until Hamline scored the tying goal with 14 seconds left in the third period.


St. Olaf will be back home tomorrow afternoon to complete the two game series with Hamline.
