Betsey Daly had 17 points and
Afton Wolter 15 as St. Olaf defeated the College of Saint Benedict 58-53 in overtime in a MIAC women's basketball game on Wednesday night at Claire Lynch Hall.
Daly, who had 11 rebounds for her seventh double-double of the year, hit two three-pointers inside the final two minutes to turn a one-point deficit to a five-point lead. The Oles were hot from long range all night, going 10-for-17.
Mattie Lueck had 22 points and Emily Lueck 12 for the Blazers in the loss. CSB was a mere 6-for-25, including 1-for-13 in the second half, from three-point range.
St. Olaf led 34-33 at the break behind 10 first half points from Wolter and eight from Daly. The Oles were 6-for-9 from the arc in the first 20 minutes while CSB was 5-of-12.
