Jessica Bentley hit an RBI double in the bottom of the seventh, allowing
Becca Walz to score and the St. Olaf softball team to defeat Bethel University 3-2 on Saturday at Mabel Shirley Field.
Danielle Collins recorded the win, pitching all seven innings of the game and tallying one strike out.

Woo Bandel, and Bentley tallied a total of seven hits for the Oles. BU, who scored two runs of their own, managed nine hits.
The Oles scored twice in the first inning. Â BU scored a game-tying run in the fourth inning, were unable to gain a lead despite having the bases loaded with no outs in the fifth inning.
Game 2: Bethel 10, St. Olaf 1Box ScoreBethel won game two 10-1 behind Angie Jackson, who went 3-for-5 with a homer.
Afton Wolter batted in
Alex Lopez in the second inning to put the Oles on the board, but that was not enough to stop the BU offense as the Royals out-hit St. Olaf 14-5.Â
Bethel scored three runs in the fourth inning to go up 4-1, then extended its lead in the fifth and seventh tallying a final score of 10-1.Â
The St. Olaf softball team will play Gustavus Adolphus College tomorrow afternoon in Northfield in their third doubleheader in as many days.
