NORTHFIELD, Minn. - Carleton's Nora Mertz scored in the 87
th minute to secure a 2-0 victory over the visiting St. Olaf women's soccer team on Saturday afternoon at Bell Field.
Madeline Topf led Carleton (4-10-2, 4-5-1 MIAC) in shots, tallying two of the teams seven shots on goal. Topf scored the decisive game winning goal for the Knights in the 16
th minute.
Mackenzie Schoustra,
Lindsey Kemp, and
Claire Bash each recorded two shots on goal for St. Olaf in the contest, (7-7, 4-6 MIAC) totaling 15 shots as a team, with nine landing on target.
The Oles had six fouls in the match, compared to Carleton's eight.
St. Olaf will head to Minneapolis on Wednesday night to take on Augsburg College for another MIAC matchup.
