MINNEAPOLIS - The St. Olaf women's ice hockey team lost 3-0 in a MIAC matchup against Augsburg on Saturday night.
Augsburg (7-2-0, 4-1-0 MIAC) scored a goal in each period, with the first coming at 12:14 in the first period on a shot from Danielle Heitkamp.  Ashley Kloncz scored a power play goal in the second, and Heitkamp scored her second goal of the evening in the third on a power play.
St. Olaf (2-7-0, 1-4-0 MIAC) had four power play opportunities while the Auggies scored on two of their eight power play opportunities.
The Oles had 30 shots on goal, with
Karma Knutson and
Jane Vezina leading the way with five apiece. Â St. Olaf goalie
Cassie Alexander faced 33 shots, letting three pass through. Â Augsburg goalie Rebecca Sonnek earned the shutout turning away all 30 shots she faced.
The Oles play a rematch against Augsburg on Saturday night at Northfield Ice Arena.
