NORTHFIELD, Minn. -
Claire Bash scored in the 89th minute to give the St. Olaf women's soccer team a 2-1 MIAC victory over Concordia on Saturday afternoon at Rolf Melby Field.
St. Olaf (5-2-0, 2-1-0 MIAC) held a 1-0 lead at the half after an unassisted goal from
Abby Stets in the 13th minute. Â Carly Mickelson tied the match for Concordia (1-4-3, 0-2-1 MIAC)with a goal in the 61st minute assisted by Paige McCullough.
The match appeared to be going into extra time until Bash scored off of a corner kick from
Grace Bestler. Â The Oles led the Cobbers in corners 7-2.
In goal for the Oles,
Julie Johnson faced four shots, making three saves. Â St. Olaf managed four shots on goal against Cobber goalkeeper Maddy Reed, who turned away two of the shots she faced.
St. Olaf returns to the pitch on Wednesday away against Hamline University.
