ST. PETER, Minn. - Kaitlyn Klein scored twice and had an assist as host Gustavus Adolphus College defeated St. Olaf 4-1 in a MIAC women's hockey game on Friday night at Don Roberts Rink.
Riley Anderson scored for St. Olaf (1-2-1, 0-1-0 MIAC). Anderson's goal came on the power play and cut the Gustavus lead to 2-1 at the 9:05 mark of the second period.
Gustavus answered with a Diana Draayer goal 12 seconds later and added a power play goal midway through the third on Klein's second tally of the night.
The Gusties (3-0-1, 1-0-0) had 41 shots to the Oles' 21. Sam Klemann had 37 saves in the loss for the Oles.
The teams will meet in Northfield on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
