RIVER FALLS, Wis. - Host UW-River Falls pulled away in the second quarter with a 16-0 run on the way to a 63-46 women's basketball victory over St. Olaf on Friday night at Don Page Arena.
Taylor Karge had 12 points and six rebounds to pace the Falcons (2-0), who shot 40 percent from three-point range while holding St. Olaf to 10.5 percent (2-for-19) from long range.
Makenna Ash had 14 points and eight rebounds and Ella Skrien 10 points for the Oles (0-2), who had trouble at the line as well. St. Olaf was just 12-for-23 (52.2 percent) while UW-River Falls was 17-for-23 (73.9 percent).
St. Olaf finishes the two-game set in River Falls with a 1 p.m. game against UW-Platteville tomorrow afternoon.
